Ocean Cruises
Ocean Cruises for Christians — Every Line, Every Itinerary
Expert planning from a certified cruise specialist — and every booking helps fund your church, missionary or nonprofit.
An ocean cruise is one of the smartest travel values available. You pay once and most of what you need is included — accommodations, meals, entertainment, and transportation between destinations. You unpack once and wake up somewhere new. For families juggling multiple ages and preferences, or couples who want variety without constant logistics decisions, ocean cruising delivers in a way that almost no other travel format can.
The question isn’t whether to cruise. It’s which cruise line, which ship, which itinerary — and those decisions matter enormously. The wrong ship for your travel style is still a week away from home, and you can’t fix it mid-voyage.
Certified Ocean Cruise Specialist
I’m a certified ocean cruise specialist. The fare is the fare — nobody has a secret cheaper price on a cruise. What an advisor changes is which sailing you end up on, which cabin category is worth the upgrade, and whether anyone tells you plainly when a ship is a poor fit for your group. I have the same access to group rates, onboard credits and promotional offers that any large agency has.
When a line is running onboard credit or free gratuities on a sailing, that offer belongs to the fare rather than to the website you found it on — it comes with you when I book it.

The Major Ocean Cruise Lines — What You Need to Know
Not all cruise lines are created equal. Here’s a plain-language breakdown so you can start narrowing down before the consultation:
Royal Caribbean — The innovation leader. Biggest ships in the world, the most onboard activities, excellent for multi-generational families and active travelers.
Carnival — The value leader. Energetic, fun, and family-friendly. Best price point for first-time cruisers and families who want to experience cruising without a big investment.
Norwegian Cruise Line — Famous for “Freestyle Cruising” — no set dining times or dress codes. Great for travelers who want flexibility and a more relaxed structure.
Celebrity Cruises — Premium without going luxury. Excellent food, beautiful ships, more sophisticated atmosphere. Great for couples and empty nesters.
Disney Cruise Line — Hands down the best family cruise experience if you have young children. The kids’ clubs are exceptional. Costs more — worth it for the right family.
Princess Cruises — Beloved by experienced cruisers. Excellent itinerary variety including Alaska, the Mediterranean, and longer voyages.
Holland America Line — Classic and refined. Strong on longer voyages, world cruises, and Alaska. Excellent for travelers 50+ who want a quieter, more elegant experience.
MSC Cruises — European flair, great value, rapidly expanding fleet. Strong Mediterranean itineraries and growing Caribbean presence.
Virgin Voyages — Adults only, 18 and over. No children on board and no kids’ clubs — a design-led ship with restaurant-style dining in place of a main dining room. Best for couples and adult friend groups.
Seven mornings. Five minutes each. Take it with you.
A short devotional for the week you’re away — one reading per morning, a question worth sitting with, and something small to do. Take it on any trip.
Where Do Ocean Cruises Go?
The short answer: almost everywhere. The most popular categories for Christian families:
Caribbean — The most accessible and affordable ocean cruise destination. Eastern, Western, and Southern itineraries departing from Florida, Texas, and the Southeast. Great for first-time cruisers and families. The port guides go deeper on the days themselves — Cozumel, where which of the three piers you dock at decides your day; St. Thomas, the stop US travelers reach without a passport; and Grand Cayman, which has no cruise pier at all and tenders everyone ashore.
Alaska — One of the most spectacular cruise destinations in the world. Inside Passage itineraries from Seattle or Vancouver offer glacier viewing, wildlife, and dramatic scenery unlike anything else in North American travel.
Mediterranean — Italy, Greece, Croatia, Spain, France, Turkey. Perfect for couples and history-minded travelers. Can overlap beautifully with a biblical heritage extension if you’re adding Greece or Turkey to a Holy Land journey.
Bahamas and Bermuda — Short, affordable getaways from East Coast ports. Great for families with limited time.
Hawaii — Longer voyages that let you see multiple islands without the cost and logistics of inter-island flights.
Transatlantic and world voyages — For experienced cruisers ready for something bigger. Longer time commitment, exceptional value per night.
Your Ocean Cruise Helps Fund Your Church or Missionary
Sent after your trip is complete. On a typical family Caribbean cruise of $4,000–$7,000, the Gratitude Gift runs $200–$350. Alaska or Mediterranean sailings, which run higher, generate proportionally more.
You get the cruise. Your designated recipient gets a gift they weren’t expecting. Nothing changes about the trip.
