Destination
Orlando, Florida
The theme park capital of the world, and one of the easiest domestic trips to plan — no passport, no long flight, and a resort style for every budget.
Why I Love It
Orlando is the trip most families book first, and it’s usually the one where ‘stewardship’ shows up most literally — ticket packages, dining plans, and resort tiers add up fast, and a few smart choices upfront can be the difference between a trip that fits the budget and one that quietly doesn’t.
It’s also refreshingly simple logistically: no passport, no long flight, no jet lag to plan around. That simplicity is exactly why it works so well for a first big family trip, or for grandparents joining in without the complexity international travel adds.
